Immersione

Immersione

In the crystal clear waters surrounding a remote Sicilian island, a twelve year-old boy explores the limits of his independence for the first time. A modern-day fable, Immersione is a film of striking purity.

Great fun for us! We loved being able to take you on a journey down into the warm crystal waters of the mediterranean, searching for hidden treasures.

Weekender

Weekender

The exploits of two friends who make the move from partying at illegal warehouse raves, to becoming successful promoters at the peak of the Manchester, Amsterdam and Ibiza rave scene in the early 90s.

Definitely our kind of film! Having grown up as teenagers in the 90s, we could relate to this subject, and with a soundtrack mixed by Terry Farley, including tracks such as Inner City’s ‘Good Life’ and Leftfield’s ‘Not Forgotten’ we were always onto a winner! Plenty of sound design here getting in and out of club scenes and trippy out of body experiences… trust us… it’s all about the Whales.

Everywhere & Nowhere

Everywhere & Nowhere

A British drama focusing on the identity struggles of Ash (James Floyd), a young British Pakistani who is torn between the traditions of middle-class family life and his passion for DJ’ing. From Director Menhaj Huda.
This is the film that we met our now good friend, Menhaj Huda on. A chance for us to get our hands dirty with a mixture of multicultural British society and some banging club beats, including a remix of Robert Miles’ ‘Children’ from our also-now-great-mates, Nerm and D-Code (Shiva Sound System).

Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee

Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee

A 2009 fly-on-the-wall mockumentary written and directed by Shane Meadows, starring Paddy Considine, Arctic Monkeys and Scorzayzee. Le Donk, an ageing and failing musician and roadie, embarks on one last swansong working for the Arctic Monkeys whilst trying to promote his up and coming rapper, Scorzayzee. All this while juggling the fact that he is due to be a father… something’s got to give here…!

This was our first film as Pindrop, and one that we are very proud of! It’s got everything that we love: music, laughs, and a good story of a middle aged man trying to cling to his youth. Big thanks to Shane Meadows and Libby Durdy (Warp Films) for bringing us this wonderful film to get our company started.

The Walker

The Walker

Carter Page III (Woody Harrelson) is a society “walker”, whose job entails squiring the wives of the rich and powerful to events their husbands could not accompany them to. When one of his friends, Lynn (Kristin Scott Thomas), wife of a liberal senator finds her lover murdered, he agrees to say he found the body to save her and her husband political embarrassment. Soon Carter is caught in a web of Washington intrigue and mixed motives and the people he considered friends are deserting him one by one.

A chance for us to work with a real legend of film, Paul Schrader on this very cool film with a stellar cast! This was all about great dialogues from some fantastic actors, with a flavour of Washington society weaved in for good measure.

Flawless

Flawless

Crime drama set in 60s London, starring Demi Moore and Michael Caine as workers at a large diamond trading company who conspire to steal a handful of diamonds from their employers. Laura Quinn (Moore) and Mr Hobbs (Caine), are at different ends of the company ladder, but with different motives for such an audacious heist!
However, what Laura doesn’t realise, is that the grudge-bearing Hobbs is planning a bigger heist than she imagined, and with sleuth-like insurance agent Finch (Lambert Wilson) hot on their trail, the net is closing fast!

We loved working on this film! Re-creating London in the swinging 60s: when people used to smoke in the office, use type writers and record players, and travel around on the old Routemaster bus… definitely a huge highlight for us!
